1. What 21st Century “Learning Skills” are vital for you, as a 5 4 3 2 1


professional teacher to produce expert learners?
1.1 I let the students analyze the causes and effects of a problem and give
them time to achieve an efficient solution (Critical Thinking).
1.2 I let the students innovate something that hasn’t existed before,
whether an object, a procedure, or an idea, that serves to be an exemplary
output of the main topic (Creative Thinking).
1.3 I let the students decode written words and visual representations in
order for them to understand the underlying message (Communicating).
1.4 I let the students group together during activities to enable them to
form effective suggestions and cooperative learning (Collaborating).
2. What 21st Century “Literacy Skills” are vital for you, as a professional teacher to produce
literate learners?
2.1 Students need to look at all information as the product of a
communication situation. I use books and textual sources for them to
research and acquire information. (Information Literacy).
2.2 Students use media for educational purposes. I use the social media
“Facebook” to broaden student’s perspective in a larger communication
situation (Media Literacy).
2.3 Students can harness the power of new technology and be inspired to
learn. I use technological aids for them to learn such as Computer, LED
Screen Television, Audio Resources, etc. (Technology Literacy).

3. What 21st Century “Life Skills” are vital for you, as a professional teacher to produce
productive learners?
3.1 Giving them questions and situations to ponder is what I do in order
for them to practice discernment and decision-making (Flexibility).
3.2 Giving them individual task to create action plans or research
investigations is what I do in order for them to set and initiate goals
independently (Initiative).
3.3 Giving them collaborative output-making in diverse groups is what I
do in order for them to socialize and build trust on other students. (Social

3.4 Giving them instructions to make ‘something out of something’ in a
fixed duration is what I do in order for them to gain development and
success in a time-bound manner (Productivity).
3.5 Giving them the duty to organize their group by tasks and
responsibilities is what I do in order for them to attain encouragement
and stability in the activity that they will undertake (Leadership).
4. What assessment strategies do you implement based on the
21st Century Skills?
 4.1 I support a balance of assessments, including high-quality
standardized testing along with effective classroom formative and
summative assessments.
 4.2 I emphasize useful feedback on student performance that is
embedded into everyday learning.
 4.3 I require diagnostic assessments that measure student’s
mastery of 21st century skills.
 4.4 I enable the development of portfolios of student work to
demonstrate level of proficiency in the field of specialization that I am
teaching.
