So as you can see im here in the market im doing a bit of grocery shopping so for
todays video im going to review 10 foods and check their food labels to see their
macro and microntrients.
But first what is macro and micro nutrients
macronutrients are the elements in food needed for a person to grow and function.
They are needed in large quantities in comparison to other nutrients which is why
they are called “macro” nutrients and are commonly referred to as "macros".
“micro” nutrients because they are needed only in very small amounts,
1. Bread
Bread supplies a significant portion of the nutrients required for growth,
maintenance of health and well-being. It is an excellent source of carbohydrates.
Nutrients found in bread include:
2. Egg.
Eggs Are A Nutrient Powerhouse. Eggs are a very good source of inexpensive, high-
quality protein. More than half the protein of an egg is found in the egg white,
Most of the nutrients in eggs are found in the yolk, so be sure to eat the whole
egg! Nutrients found in eggs include:
3. Fish .
Eating fish is an important source of omega-3 fatty acids. These essential
nutrients keep our heart and brain healthy. It includes
4. Shrimp.
shrimp is rich in minerals and vitamins, especially Vitamin E.
5. Pork.
This type of meat is also a great source of other B vitamins. Thiamin or Vitamin b1
is higher in pork.
6. Beef,
like all meats, is a great source of riboflavin or vitamin b2.
7. "Tomatoes
tOMATOES are high in fiber and a good source of vitamin c
8. Spinach.
Spinach is also a very good source of vitamin e, a and other vitammins and minerals
9. Cabbage.
The most common foods that have high vitamin K are green leafy vegetables such as
cabbage
10. Milk. Milk is a convenient source of calcium.
