LABORA – WORK

“A dream doesn’t become reality through magic: It takes sweat, determination and hard work”

-Colin Powell

Reflection:

- Before when I was in High School I thought reaching one of my dreams would be easy,
which is to pass college and be a Certified Public Accountant because in high school even I
failed in quizzes and exams but I pass all the requirements in Performance Tasks, in the end
I am sure that I will get a high score in my final grade. Now that I am in College I realized
that I was wrong. For instance, during the midterms, I expecting that I will get a high score
in my midterm grade because I pass all the requirements but all my quizzes and midterm
exam are failed but in the end I get an average score in my midterm grade. This time, I tell to
myself I need to exert more efforts, study harder and have a positive mindset to pass my
subjects. This problem will be my preparation in the future because I know that when I
already working I will encounter more big problems and challenges. It is easy to imagine
and plan what would be my future is but it is hard to achieve. I need to work hard, have a
determination, trust God and myself so I will make my dreams come true.

1. What work do you do at home? How does working contribute to your character?
- In our home I always in charge in washing the dishes and cleaning our bedrooms. Doing this
jobs, it helps myself to be more discipline and responsible. I didn’t do this because my
parents will angry to me if I not do my part but it is my commitment in our home.

2. Over the weekend, give your mother or father a treat – do one household task for
him or her. Narrate the experience.
- This short vacation, we go to our house in Batangas then I take this opportunity to do a
household task for my father. My father’s tasks are to clean our garden and go to the market.
I offer him that I will clean our garden and he is surprise because after a long time I will do
that task and I see to his facial expression that he is happy because I have an initiative to
clean our garden. While I am working, he is there to guide me and this activity would great
opportunity to me and to have a bonding with my father.
