Dynamic Cone Penetration Test Results

The DCP test was conducted at a location 9km from Depalpur, Pakpattan Sharif to Vehari Road to determine the soil properties of the sub-grade layer. The soil was identified as an "other soil" with 10% moisture content. Testing involved dropping an 8kg hammer from a height of 5cm at increasing depths and recording the number of blows and penetration. The CBR values ranged from 17.25% to 24.65% with higher values occurring at shallower depths with fewer blows required for penetration. A graph shows an inverse relationship between penetration rate and CBR value.
