Substantiable Employment
The topic ‘sustainable employment’ has become a significant concern in business ethics.
Sustainability originally refers to the long-term maintenance of systems according to
environmental, economic, and social considerations. Connecting the concept of
sustainability to employment implicit that employers must try to categorize work in such a
way that their human resources are encouraged rather than exploited, so that these
resources can be moved in the future. It should also be noted that sustainable
employment is an outcome of a sustainable human resource management approach.
Sustainable employment is also defined as the degree to which employees are able and
willing to remain working now and in the future. Even though sustainable employment is
often referred to as an ageing workforce, it should also be considered that sustainability
relates to employees of all ages.
Relating to stakeholder’s theory, employees are a big part of it and are impacted by
business ethics.
