The teacher understands and uses multiple methods of assessment to


engage learners in their own growth, to monitor learner progress, and to
guide the teacher’s and learner’s decision making.

Narrative:
During my student teaching, I had to
come up with different ways to
formatively assess the students
because of virtual learning. During
the gas law unit, where there were a
lot of different calculations I
integrated formative assessment
throughout my entire lessons. At the
beginning of the class, I would have
an entrance slip for the students to
do. This was usually a Google Form Reflection:
so I could see their answers right These different ways of formative
when they submitted their answers. If assessment really allowed me to see
a majority of the students got an how much the students were
incorrect answer I would go over the grasping the material. They also
