I want to start the first edition of this magazine
saying that I am sure this will not be the only
one. With each one of these publications our
students will discover the importance of
expressing what they feel, communicating
what they know and, the most important, using
VOICES OF THE MOOR that knowledge to make the world a better
MAGAZINE place. I do trust that the grain of sand that all of
us are putting here today, it will be a huge
castle soon. This is only a door that we open in
PRINCIPAL order that the San Juan Nepomuceno family

PRINCIPAL'S NOTE
I am glad to let you know about the release of the first edition of the magazine "VOICES
OF THE MOOR", created by our urban primary school students and the teacher DIANA
CAROLINA SIERRA in collaboration with the engineer EDINSON PICÓN PIMIENTO, as a
significant contribution to the process of learning English in our school.
Some years ago, learning English was a privilege that only a few could afford it, but
now, the globalization of the economy turned the knowing of a second language into a
“necessity”, especially for those students who have great aspirations in academia.
That is why I celebrate this kind of ideas which will help our children and adolescents to
start learning the second language from an early age, and the best way to do it is with
an enjoyable, joyful and very didactic methodology.
Therefore, my dear students, there are no excuses for not learning English and this
magazine will help you enormously to be protagonists of tourism development in the
local, regional and national scope; the doors of triumph will be open to those who speak
a second language.
Finally, a very special congratulations to the teacher Diana Carolina Sierra for this idea,
which, I hope, will be used in the best way by our students and that there will be many
editions of this magazine.
Con gran satisfacción recibo la puesta en circulación del primer número de la revista
“VOICES OF THE MOOR”, autoría de nuestros estudiantes de la sede primaria urbana
junto a la docente DIANA CAROLINA SIERRA y en colaboración con el ingeniero EDINSON
PICÓN PIMIENTO, como un aporte muy significativo al aprendizaje del inglés en nuestra
institución.
Hace unos años aprender inglés era un privilegio que muy pocos podían darse, pero con
el correr de los tiempos y la globalización de la economía se convirtió en una
“Necesidad”, especialmente para los alumnos que tienen grandes aspiraciones en la
academia, por eso celebro este tipo de ideas que van a ayudar a que nuestros niños,
niñas y adolescentes a que desde muy temprana edad se inicien en el aprendizaje de la
segunda lengua y que mejor manera de hacerlo que con una metodología amena, alegre
y muy didáctica.
De tal manera que mis queridos y queridas alumnas ya no tienen excusas para no
aprender el inglés y esto les ayudara enormemente a ser protagonistas del desarrollo
turístico en lo local, regional y nacional, las puertas del triunfo estarán abiertas a
quienes manejen una segunda lengua.
Una felicitación muy especial a la Licenciada Diana Carolina Sierra por esta idea, que
espero sea aprovechada de la mejor manera por nuestros estudiantes y que sean
muchísimas ediciones de este magazín.
