Develop success criteria for learning tasks (CLO5)

As we know, the learning intention or outcome of a lesson or series of lessons tells students what
they should know, understand and be able to do, and it is important to share this with our
students.

The success criteria help teachers to decide whether their students have, in fact, achieved the
learning intention/outcome. Importantly, the success criteria also answer the same question from
the point of view of the student: How will I know whether I've achieved the learning intention?

Your task: For at least two tasks/projects that you assign to students, develop success criteria.

 These should be in the form of bullet points that students can self-assess against.

 They should be written in student-friendly language.

 The number of bullet points should be appropriate to the task and the age of your
students.

I have used in this lesson thumbs up and thumbs down, they do thumbs up if they get the
lesson and they do thumbs down if they didn’t get. This strategy will make the students more
active in the class. And in this way I will know who are the students are able to understand the
lesson and who are not.
