Fullerton Teacher Induction POP Cycle Guide

This document provides directions for teachers participating in the Fullerton Online Teacher Induction Program's Pre/Observation/Post (POP) cycle form. The cycle involves a new teacher (NT) and mentor (ME) planning a lesson, a pre-observation conference, the NT teaching the lesson while the ME observes, and a post-observation conference. The NT completes sections on the lesson plan and reflections before and after teaching. The ME provides feedback and completes an observation section. The goal is to support the NT's development in the California Standards for the Teaching Profession.

Other Comments/Notes

The lesson went really well overall. Heather did a great job maintaining the flow of the lesson. She
facilitated learning by not directly answering student questions, and instead asking guiding questions
to help them find the answers on their own. This was a great way to introduce this new unit of study!
