1. HOW WOULD YOU RECONCILE THE EMERGING NEEDS OF HUMAN BEINGS REGARDING THEIR HEALTH
AND THE NEED TO PROTECT THE GROWTH OF BIODIVERSITY
In reconciling the given circumstances, the Human must adjust as they have the higher
capacity to think alternatives over varieties of species in the biodiversity. Straightforwardly, humans
are considered the smartest specie in Earth. In regards to their health, people consume meat as their
source of protein. On the other hand, excessive consumption might endanger the specie of the animal
being slaughtered so, in this case, to keep the supply of meat in the market without the animal specie
being endanger, the humans MUST re-breed the exact amount of the slaughtered animal. It keeps the
process working.
2. DO YOU THINK THAT THE EARTH CAN EXIST WITHOUT HUMAN BEING TAKING CARE OF IT? OR
BIODIVERSITY ALSO NEEDS HUMAN BEINGS FOR IT TO BE IN A CONTINUOUS GROWING PROCESS?
Evidences show that Earth has started to exist 4.543 billion years ago and the first existence of
a human is believed to be only two million years to ago. That scientific theory has said it all. For me,
relying on that theory, Earth can exist alone without the intervention of the humans. They have this
self-generating concept to keep itself alive and working. Animals and plants exist as well providing the
Earth the minerals and other things to keep its cycle. I cannot deny that human has the capacity to
contribute bets ideas for the growth of biodiversity, they have the knowledge in breeding a specie and
medicating a sick one. I just want to stand for the fact that Earth and Biodiversity are in safe places
whether without humans. It is just BETTER if humans contribute knowledge and if they take care of
the Earth and the Biodiversity.
3. WHAT ARE SMALL WAYS THAT YOU THINK WOULD PROMOTE SAFE KEEPING OUR BIODIVERSITY?
WHAT DO YOU THINK ARE THE COMMON HUMAN ACTIVITIES THAT CAN HARM BIODIVERSITY? WHAT
WOULD BE THE CONSEQUENCES IF THESE HUMAN ACTIVITIES MIGHT BE STOPPED AND PROHIBITED?
Based on my understanding, we can do the following to keep our biodiversity safe:
1. Use solar panels as a source of electricity to reduce the use of man-generated electicity
2. Recycle paper to avoid excessive use of trees in making the paper.
3. Use electric-generated mode of transportation over petroleum-generated once as it does not only
keeps you from saving oil but it also keeps you from emitting smoke that can damage the ozone
layer.
4. Save water
5. Plant more.
6. Do yardwork or any other work manually over using a machine.
On the other hand, I think the following activities can harm the biodiversity
1. Pollution harms biodiversity as it tend to kill animals and their habitat
2. Excessive use of natural resources can harm the balance of biodiversity.
[Link] fishing, over harvesting and over slaughtering of animals harm biodiversity.
If these every harmful activities of human stopped, the biodiversity will get the proper balance again
and if we are so lucky, it might get better. Taking care of it would not only for their benefit alone, it
would be for us well, humans.
