Drawing 90-Degree Lines in AutoCAD

The document provides instructions for creating a CAD drawing with angled lines and dimensions in 13 steps: 1) Set the unit type to Architectural and precision to 0' - 0 1/16" and units to inches. 2) Specify the drawing limits from (0',0') to (40',40'). 3) Draw a horizontal 5' line for the x-axis. 4) Draw a 20' line at 90 degrees from the start of the x-axis. 5) Draw two 20' lines at 30 degrees from the x-axis, one to the right and one to the left. 6) Draw a 20' line at 90 degrees from the end

Assignment#2

Step#1: Type unit command in command line. Now set unit type as Architectural and precision
as 0’- 0 1/16’’. Set the unit as inches.

Step#2: Type Limits command in command line. Specify lower left corner as (0’, 0’) and upper
right corner as (40’, 40’).
Step#3: Now type line command and then draw a straight line of 5’ representing x-axis.

Step#4:Draw a straight line of 20’ at 90 degress from the start of this line .

Step#5: Again from the x-axis draw a line of 20’ at 30 degree angle by using command
(shif@22<30) to the right side.
Step#6: Now draw a 30 degree line from x axis in the left direction by using command
(Shift@20<150).

Step#7: Now at the end of these two lines of 30 degree draw a line of 20’ at 90 degrees.
Step#8: Now at the end point of 90 degree line to the right side again draw a reference line and
type Shift@20’<210 to draw a line which joins the end point of 90 degree line drawn at the
center.

Step#9: Now at the end point of 90 degree line to the left side again draw a reference line and
type Shift@20’< -30 to draw a line which joins the end point of 90 degree line drawn at the
center .
Step#10: : From this point again draw a line of 20’ at 30 degree by typing Shift@20<30 to the
left side and command Shift@20’<150 to the right .

Step#12: Similarly type command Shif@20’<150 to draw a line at right side to complete the
box.
Step#11: Trim the extra lines.

Step#12: Give the angular dimensions by going to annotate option and select angular
dimension. To give Angular dimension between any two lines just select the lines.
Step#13: Now give linear dimension by going to annotate option and select aligned dimension.
So our shape is ready.
