Effective Event Planning Strategies

The document provides solutions to two problems. For problem 8, the solution is to create a timeline for the upcoming semester and schedule commitments from people to ensure resource availability for events. This may not guarantee full participation but will maximize it. For problem 12, if the work cannot be done alone within 5-10 minutes, the solution is to apologize that it cannot be done urgently due to a family commitment, or to outsource the work if possible and monitor it to meet the team's needs.

Solution to problem number 8:

I would build a timeline first for the entire year or at least for the upcoming
semester and then call for people based on that timeline. The timeline can be not
fully finalized but can give an estimated idea and then schedule that they have to
commit to that time by a deadline. That way I have the resource pull planned out
for the event along with action plans. This plan may not ensure complete
participation but it will ensure the highest number of participation possible

Solution to problem number 12:

I will try to outsource the work to someone else if I cannot do it on your own. If I
cannot manage someone else in the next 5-10 minutes, I will tell team that it is not
possible for me in this urgent basis as I am stuck with some family work and
apologize. If I manage to outsource the work, I will keep the outsourced work
under monitoring to provide my team the best that I can and make sure the design
suits their needs.
