Understanding Integers and Operations

Integer must be a whole number such as 2, -1, or 0, but not decimals or fractions. Multiplication and division rules are: a) same signs multiply to a positive, b) different signs multiply to a negative. Addition and subtraction rules are: a) adding or subtracting numbers with the same sign will result in a number with that sign, b) adding or subtracting numbers with different signs can result in a positive or negative number depending on the values. An example financial table is provided to calculate total profit or loss over multiple months.
