CONCEPTUAL/THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK

Traffic, every one of us know what it is and that it is part of our daily lives. In our everyday lives,
some of us commute, some of us use private vehicles such as cars, motorcycles and there are
also public utility vehicles. All of these vehicles are used on the road and is the cause of traffic,
but how does a driver or an owner use or drive a vehicle? There are so much traffic violators in
our country, but we will focus in Barangay Gen T. De Leon, Valenzuela City. Our aim or purpose
is to find out why does the number of traffic violators in Gen T. De Leon are increasing and the
importance or essence of road courtesy and discipline in the implementation of traffic rules and
regulations. We plan to conduct a survey in Gen T. De Leon, give survey to the civilians
specifically the Pedestrians, Drivers, and Owners of Vehicles; also the Traffic enforcers in Gen. T.
De Leon, Valenzuela City. We plan to give an idea about the essence of road courtesy and
discipline in the implantation of traffic rules and regulations that will be a possible solution to
reduce traffic violators and avoid vehicular accidents in this area.
According to research, everyday there are many traffic violators in Gen. T. De Leon. The main
cause of this problem is the lack of discipline and knowledge of drivers in Valenzuela City; many
people are ignorant of laws and rules to follow in the road and are deliberately committing
violation, more so if there are no traffic enforcers to be seen. Traffic accidents causes traffic
congestion in large roads much more in the narrow roads of Gen. T. De Leon.

The INPUT includes the demographic profile of two groups of respondents to determine their
background and acknowledgement of as the respondent of the study. The respondent of the
study are the Civilians/Pedestrians/Drivers and the law enforcers/traffic enforcers along Gen T.
De Leon. The following includes their age, gender, civil status, educational attainment,
occupation and their length of their service.
The Researcher came up with the following Variables in assessing the essence of road courtesy
and discipline in the implementation of traffic rules and regulations, Traffic Congestion,
Traffic/Vehicular accidents, Destruction of Property and Road Rage as the terms that could
solve in studying the importance of road courtesy and discipline in the implementation of
traffic rules and regulations.
The PROCESS includes the systematic diagram utilized by the researcher to determine the
assessment of the respondents regarding traffic courtesy and discipline and their awareness of
traffic rules and regulations in Gen T. De Leon to reduce/avoid traffic accidents or vehicular
accidents.
The survey questionnaire will be prepared by our group and the will be handed over to the
respondents. The data gathered from the respondents will be tallied, tabulated, analyzed and
interpreted through statistical statement of date and be presented afterwards.
The OUTPUT is the awareness of the Civilians and Traffic Enforcers about traffic rules and
regulations and the essence of road courtesy and discipline, which is effective in reducing or
avoiding traffic violations and accidents and through the result of the survey to the
respondents.
The FEEDBACK is part of the schematic diagram because this will be the basis for the use of
awareness in traffic rules and regulations and the essence of road courtesy and discipline in
continuous improvement in reducing traffic violators.
