BSCE 2A ACTIVITY 2

A. Based on the history, game rules, and how to play table tennis. In your own opinion. Give atleast
10 sentences about table tennis.

Table tennis is also commonly known as ping-pong. It is a ball game that is similar in
principle to lawn tennis. The game is very well-known around the world. The game was invented
in England in the early 20th century and was originally called Ping-Pong. Table tennis is played on
a flat table divided into two equal courts by a net fixed across its width at the middle. The objective
of the game is to hit the ball so that it goes over the net and bounces on the opponent’s half of
the table in such a way that the opponent cannot reach it or return it correctly. The lightweight
hollow ball is propelled back and forth across the net by small rackets or paddles held by the
players. Table tennis is a game that offers a lot of physical and health benefits such as helping us
burn calories, and help improve our sense of balance, reflexes and hand-eye coordination. It is
also a fun activity that lets us socialize and bond with other people through playing it. All-in-all, it
is a fun and good-for-the-health game.

B. Draw and label the following:

1. Racket or paddle
2. Table
3. Ball
