SUBJECT : INVITATION TO THE ORIENTATION ON PILOT


TESTING OF THE ENHANCED BARANGAY
DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AND MANAGEMENT
PLAN (BDRRMP) TEMPLATE

DATE : November 3, 2020

The Department, through this Bureau, is collaborating with the Local


Government Academy (LGA) and Save the Children Philippines (SCP), in
the enhancement of the BDRRMP Template, to include indicators on
public health emergencies in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. This
initiative is one of the strategies identified under the Task Group on
Recovery to address and mitigate the impact of COVID-19.

Relative to this, an Online Orientation on the Pilot Testing of the


Enhanced BDRRMP Template will be conducted on
November 9, 2020, from 9:00 AM to 12 PM, via Zoom. Attached is the
indicative programme of the activity which aims to gauge the viability of
the additional indicators integrated into the Enhanced BDRRMP
Template.

In this regard, may we request for your assistance by inviting the


Punong Barangay, Sangguniang Barangay Members who are the
Chairpersons on Disaster Risk Reduction and on Health, and the
Barangay Secretary, from the following barangays as participants:
City/Municipality, Province Name of Barangay

Allen, Northern Samar Jubasan


Allen, Northern Samar Kinaguitman
Allen, Northern Samar Kinabranan Zone 2
Villareal, Samar Inasudlan
Vilareal, Samar Himyangan
Villareal, Samar Villarosa (Poblacion)

To generate different perspectives on the feasibility of the enhanced


BDRRMP Template, may we also invite the following DILG personnel:
1. DILG – Region VIII’s DRR Regional Focal Person;
2. DILG – Northern Samar and Samar’s DRR Provincial Focal
Persons;
3. DILG - Municipal Local Government Operations Officers of
Allen, Northern Samar and Villareal, Samar

The Zoom meeting details will be emailed to the participants upon
