Subject: Project Plan Presentation

Dear Anabelle,

I have really enjoyed getting to know you so far this semester in Eller. As we discussed while creating our
team charter and then documented within the team charter, we would all like to get A’s and do our best in
BCOM 314. Due to presentations being such a large part of Eller and especially BCOM 314, it is important to
look back at your first presentation in the class and reflect on how your performance.

After looking back at the presentation video some positive nonverbal behaviors that I noticed were your very
calm and confident demeanor, as well as your nonverbal behaviors. Being calm and confident can help both
how professional you come across as, and how well the audience listens and understands what you are
presenting. Your nonverbal behaviors also showed that you were interested in what your fellow presenters had
to say, and this passively helps bring the whole presentation together. However, a nonverbal element that I
noticed within your section of the presentation was the lack of hand gestures or movements. Adding hand
gestures and other movements to your presentations can help further in getting your point across to your
audience and making sure what you are saying is being understood.

After careful analysis of the presentation video specifically during your part, I came to the conclusion that your
verbal behaviors during this presentation were fantastic. When speaking, your tone fluctuated, you remained at
a steady pace, and appeared friendly and calm. A great fluctuating tone can add to the speaker’s professional
credibility, by making them appear very warm and relatable. Remaining at a steady pace also increases
professional credibility, by showing you have practiced and know what you are talking about when it comes to
the presentation.

I know that I hope, especially during first semester alert, to grow not only in our professional and
presentational capacities but also our life skills in general. After reviewing our full presentation, I believe that
you are very close to achieving these goals with very minimal changes. You were able to establish a great
amount of professional credibility through your work on the verbal part of the presentation and add even more
credibility through your nonverbal cues. In the near future you can continue to practice, and gain more helpful
knowledge about presenting to raise your abilities to the max.

Although you already have a great amount of professional credibility, moving forward you can gain even more
by increasing the amount of hand gestures and movements while presenting. This minimal but important
change can increase your capacity to give presentations and make you more successful in the future. I believe
that for our next presentation we should practice together before hand as I also need to increase my use of hand
gestures and movements. This will allow for both of us to receive feedback in real time while trying to
implement these changes, and overall make us better presenters. If you have any further questions, or when
