Vibration Analysis of Thin Shell Elements

The document compares different modeling approaches for profiled steel sheeting in vibration analysis. Ahmed (2012, 2018) used isotropic thin shell elements for the steel and isotropic or orthotropic thin shell elements for boards in LUSAS. Gandomkar (2013) also used LUSAS and modeled the steel and boards with SHELL281 elements and used COMBIN14 springs for connectors. Ismail (2017) used the thin shell QSL8 element for steel and boards in LUSAS and modeled the non-linear behavior of steel.
