The student was asked to take a photo of a local body of water and describe its current condition and how water quality could affect the environment and humans if not properly managed. The student took a photo of a canal near their house that has flowing water, plants, and small rocks, but is not overly dirty or fast moving. As you can see, it is a canal that has flowing water. It is not too dirty nor too clean. It has plants
and small rocks that if found in the canal. The water is does not have a high current and it is flowing
meaning the waterway is not clogged or obstructed. It would be better to clean the waterway so that
their will be no hazard and safety precautions are measured because it will help the water flow more
freely and will lessen the risk of flooding in the area. If this is not taken care well, the results ar massive.
Floods in the area can occur and the people living in the area will be at risk. It is a good thing that the
people living in the area including myself is regularly checking our waterways and cleans it twice a week.
We should take care of our environment so that ourselves would be taken care of.
