During a project, project manager needs to know following two questions

a. How easily he can start any particular activity?

b. How late he can delay such that project does not delayed?

We shall define following two times associated with an event.

a. Earliest expected time.

b. Latest allowable occurrence time.

 Earliest expect time: The earliest expected time of an event is time which tells the event can not occur earlier than
this time.
