1. What is History? Why do we need to study History?

 History is all about life and events in the past especially about our ancestors who lived in
different eras in history. It tells us interesting and amazing facts, how our society before, how our
forefathers lived, and also passing their tradition from one generation to another. Personally, we need to
study History to find out what was the real truth or behind the story of events or facts that we know and the
things that we will find out soon.
2. What is the importance of studying Philippine History?
 The importance of studying Philippine History is; to compare different points of view of our
ancestors and heroes and also to identify the traditional matter in the past that will deepen and broaden our
understanding of our country's history.
3. What is the significance of Philippine History nowadays?
 The signification of Philippine History nowadays, explains to us how our society begins, how
our societies came to be, helps us understand the change. Tells us some events that made significant changes
(like Himagsikan) that reflect in the present, and into the future.
4. What is the importance of learning and understanding the History of the Philippines as a Filipino?
 It makes me be more patriotic, be more appreciative in our country, be fully nurture, and
thankful for all the efforts and sacrifices of our heroes because of them we have FREEDOM. Freedom that
builds to us, enables us to improve, and also encourages us to fight and protect more our country.
5. What is the importance of reading the Philippine History?
 Reading the Philippine History is valuable because it develops our historical consciousness so
that we will become adaptable, expressive, broad-minded, and be a responsible citizen in our nation.
6. Why do you think this subject was included in our curriculum?
 This subject was included for the freshmen college curriculum; to manifest interest in the history
and concern in promoting and preserving our culture, tradition, and especially our heritage.
