Recommendation for Linh's Quantum Physics Admission

Dr. Vo Thanh Quynh recommends Ms. Le Thi Phuong Linh for admission to the School of Quantum Physics. He taught Linh last semester and noticed her earnestness as a student, kindness towards others, strong teamwork skills, and ability to clearly explain complex concepts. Linh achieved one of the top scores in the class and showed a rare passion for physics among biology students by acknowledging physical factors in living creatures. Dr. Quynh believes Linh's attitude, abilities, and passion for physics will allow her to greatly benefit from the School of Quantum Physics program.

Recommendation letter

Dear School of Quantum Physics Selection Committee,

It is a great pleasure for me to recommend Ms. Le Thi Phuong Linh for financial support
admission. I got a chance to be Linh’s teacher at General Physics I: Mechanics and
Thermodynamics for Talented Program in Biology and Chemistry. Although I only taught her
last semester, I noticed that Linh had suitable characters to be a great participant of the School
of Quantum Physics.
During the course, I found that she was an earnest student. She is also a kind student, has good
teamwork skills, and can explain complex concepts clearly and concisely. When her classmates
willing to cannot do a Physics exercise, she can manage to help them understand the problem so they can
solve it without my instructions. Not surprisingly, her score of this subject was 9.6 out of 10 and
she was one of the top 3 students with the best Physics score in that class.
Especially, she was very interested in Physics and concerned a lot about what is the physical
mechanism of a biological entity. This surprised me a lot because I barely see any undergraduate
students with Biology major have such a passion for Physics like that and acknowledged
physical factors of living creatures like her. Besides, her math skills and critical thinking were
quite good, compared with students in her class, so I suppose that participating in School of
Quantum Physics will not be too difficult for her.
In conclusion, I highly recommend Linh to the Selection Committee. With her attitude, ability,
and the most important thing, her passion, I believe that she can learn a lot in the School of
Quantum Physics and will be better both in knowledge and experiences after studying here.

Yours sincerely,

Dr. Vo Thanh Quynh
