What does Globalization have to do with me?


Let us begin our definition and understanding of globalization with this example or
narrative to show that globalization is a real phenomenon that we cannot ignore or avoid.
Globalization is the word used to describe the growing interdependence of the world’s
economies, cultures, and people brought by exchanging ideas, products, services. Countries have
built economic partnerships to facilitate these movements over many centuries. Although the
connection between countries to countries may seem look good, there is still a downfall in
globalization. Globalization is something that we cannot ignore or avoid, as we are
interconnected with other countries, competition between countries still occur.

At the end of the activity, it is visible that Foreign brands dominates local brands. It is why the
economy of our country is not that stable because there are still factors that our country still compromises
and still lose in the competition. There are things that our country cannot provide yet, that is why we still
need to import things from other countries. Yes, globalization has created jobs, lowered the price of
consumer goods, fueled innovation but it also fuels inequality where rich countries becomes richer and
poor countries becomes poorer eroded worker protections and contributed to environmental
degradation as well.
