Q: How many people are there in your family?
A: P1: 5 persons, P2: Me and my husband (newly married), P3: 04 persons, P4: 04 personas in
my family.
Q: What do you know about family planning?
A: P1: Yes it is important, but I cannot explain it, P4: as our country is not so big it is important
to adopt family planning method to keep the family small. P2: family planning is important for
family welfare, and the welfare of society. Yes I know about some methods oral pills, condom,
Injection, tubectomy etc.
Q: Where have you get all the information?
A: P4: There is billboards, posters, after going to hospitals, talking to health assistants
(FWA,FWV). P2: I get the information from academic book, from TV, P1: I would not say
anything.
Q: Have you any idea about the communication materials used by FWA,FWV?
A: P4: Yes I have seen at yard meeting.
Q: do you feel this communication materials are important?
A: P4: Yes we think it is important to make people aware.
Q: How to convey the information more easily? Do you have any advice?
A: P4: Yard meeting are held, P3: we all sit their sometimes our husbands also sit there; we
don’t feel shy at all.
Q: Do your husband use any family planning method?
A: P4: No, He never used any, but I do, P3: same here I use not my husband. P4: Patriarchal
society so they don’t want to use! I sometimes say, “Is it my duty only? Why don’t you use? He
just smiles keep quite changes the topic of conversation!”
Q: From where you get the family planning services?
A: P4: FWAs give us the services at home.
Q: Have you ever faced any challenges adopting family planning methods?
A: P All, No we never faced any challenges.
Q: which methods do you like more?
A: P4: As we mostly have two children we prefer short term methods. Like oral pill, condoms and
injection. It actually depends on situation age and others.
Q: A question to newly married couple- “Have you gone to the Family planning offices or they come to
you?
A: FWA has come to me.
Q: Are you satisfied with services of family planning?
A: P4 and all yes we are satisfied with the services.
Q: Have you any expectations toward getting services?
A: P4 and P3: No, what are they providing is ok, no need to have any changes.
Q: With whom you usually go to the family planning office?
A: P4: I take my husband with me, P3: I sometimes take him with me. P2: I never went there but took
the services at my home. P1: I also took my husband with me.
Q: Are you all satisfied with the services got in the family planning offices? Are they supportive enough?
A: P All: Yes they are supportive enough, we are satisfied.
Q: Have joined any seminar or workshop by family planning office?
A: P3: Once I have joined a cultural program by family planning. We enjoyed it very much.
Q: How to increase the facilities of family planning services? Do you have any suggestion?
A: P4: I would love to take the services in my home. P3: Home based services are good, P2: I think yes
home based services are good and preferable. P1: I also like to get it in my home.
Q: Have you any overall suggestion about the services?
A: P4: How they are doing is good, P All: No not at all.
