Cantilever Pile Embedment Depth Analysis

This document analyzes the minimum depth of embedment for a cantilever pile. It calculates values for the Rankine active and passive earth pressure coefficients based on soil properties. It then uses these coefficients along with surcharge loads, soil unit weight, and pile height to calculate the effective active earth pressure and force due to the surcharge loads through equations enforcing equilibrium of moments. The minimum calculated depth of embedment is 17m.
