Introduction
Background of the Study
This research is all about the students’ use of programming methods possess significant
relationship with the unplugged learning in the field of programming language skills. It will be
conducted at Manukan National High School during the School Year 2018 -2019. The
participants are required to be an ICT students’ to gather the data from a computer literate. To be
specific they should be a SHS students’ from MNHS.
Any of various languages for expressing a set of detailed instructions for a
digital computer. Such instructions can be executed directly when they are in the computer
manufacturer-specific numerical form known as machine language, after a simple substitution
process when expressed in a corresponding assembly language, or after translation from some
“higher-level” language. Although there are many computer languages, relatively few are widely
used. Scheme support functional programming and the functional is a subset of declarative
language, the scheme language doesn’t support declarative programming. Declarative language
suits when there is an implicit "behind the scenes" procedure or process that's going to do
something uniform with the assertions or statements presented. Scheme focus on what
information is desired and what transformations are required. A functional language can help
organize the expression of computation.
We have found out also that the remaining languages can also be used in web
applications as CGI scripts, but are quite inconvenient and error-prone to program in them,
maintain, and deploy. Hence, they require external libraries which are hard to configure,
maintain and deploy. We have found that is possible to build such applications using the
remaining languages. But it is hard since they are natively not designed /suited for kind of
applications and some external libraries are required to do so.
The intention of this research is to be conducted properly to determine and able to pitch
in research-based data and knowledge if Senior High School (SHS) students use of programming
methods possess significant relationship with unplugged learning in class at Manukan National
High School during the School Year 2018 -2019. This research will be able to pitch in research-
based data and knowledge on the possible relationship between SHS students’ an unplugged
learning and computer information system. Furthermore, the people in the society, in general can
make informed decisions that are relevant to this area.
Statement of the Study
This research generally aims to determine if Senior High School (SHS) students use of
programming methods possess significant relationship with unplugged learning in ICT class at
Manukan National High School during the School Year 2018 -2019.
Specifically, this research shall seek answer to the following question:
1. What is the level of Programming methods of SHS students in MNHS?
2. What is the unplugged learning of SHS students in MNHS?
3. Is there a significant relationship between programming methods and unplugged learning
of SHS students in MNHS?
Significance of the Study
This research will be able to pitch in research-based data and knowledge on the possible
relationship between SHS students’ programming methods and unplugged learning.
Furthermore, the people in the society, in general can make informed decisions that are relevant
to this area.
More specifically, this research ought to be beneficial to the various groups of people.
Students, through this study, the data gathered and produced by this study can be used by
the students as future
e researchers it will be their database for their own future studies.
Teachers, through this study, they will find the results of the research particularly useful
for them.
Scope and Delimitations
The study is to derived the Programming methods in the use of Unplugged Learning for
about 85 senior high school students of Manukan National High School 2018-2019 to learn the
necessities of Computer Literacy as we conduct our research with the works of their
programming skills, by doing so to gain and improve the knowledge in which is use for future
programming, for the students to carry on the future technology.
It delimits in the Unplugged Learning to be reach in only for those who have lacking of
skills in computer literacy and must start using the unplugged learning for improvement in their
skills. This, limits itself in the senior high school student or pre-college for further learning and
have brief ideas as you enter in the field of digital literacy.
