INSTITUTIONAL GROUP GUIDANCE (IGG)
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Institutional Group Guidance (IGG) caters to the student’s holistic development as
a Christian Lasallian toward a well-integrated personality and responsible
lifestyle. It focuses on the identification of the students unique qualities as persons
and their emotional patterns for effective self-regulation. It facilitates the
students’ learning about effective communication, positive self-identity, tools of
discipline, and responsible sexuality. It puts premium on the management of mental
health issues and strategies to strengthen life skills for adaptive and positive
behavior. It further aims to promote the students’ psychological wellbeing towards
a Lasallian way of life.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
THE COURSE CULMINATES WITH THE STUDENTS’ CREATIVITY IN
DESIGNING THEIR PERSONAL PORTFOLIO THAT CAPTURES THEIR
UNIQUE CAPABILITIES AND POTENTIALS TOWARDS THE
DEVELOPMENT OF THEIR ADAPTIVE LIFE SKILLS AND GOALS IN THE
CONTEXT OF THEIR FAMILY, COMMUNITY, AND CHRISTIAN
LASALLIAN HERITAGE.
