1 Abstract:
This Warehouse Management System project mainly deals with
automating the tasks of maintaining and transacting the [Link] the Warehouse
Management System inventory management is the key [Link] process
includes the activities such as maintenance of stock details, maintenance of
receipts and items etc. It is a tedious job to maintain all these details manually.
Hence we opted to automate the Warehouse Management System.
Warehouse Management System automates the job of warehouse system.
It mainly includes five members .
1. Administrator
2. Sub-Location In-charge
3. Retailer
4. Supplier
5. Customer
The Administrator has the priviligies to maintain different types of Products,
Suppliers, Sub Location Incharges Databases in the [Link] is concerned
Suppliers, Sub Location Incharges Databases in the [Link] is concerned.
The Sub location Incharges has privilige to maintain Products which are
transformed from Administrator and registration of Retailers and all operations on
these two databases
The Retailer has priviligies to maintain Products at the corrosponding Retailer
The supplier has priviligies to maintain parts Database and he can add parts and
delete parts
In this Warehouse Management System has 5 Modules
These are

4. Billing
5. Reports

Dev Environment : ASP. Net with C#, Java Script
Data Base : SQL Server 2000

1. Home Page
1.1 Home page contains banner at the top as warehouse management system
along with client provided image.( in left corner)
1.2 home page contain a menu bar along with following links
a. Home
b. our services
c. Contact us
d. Login (login link should be right corner in home page)
1.3 Home page should contain image provided by client on the left pane ie pane-

And pane -2 contains overview of the project.
1.4 The footer bar should be displayed as “ware house management system” in
bottom of the home page.
1.5 Entire project (or) every page contain footer bar.
1.6 When user clicks on login link the system should open a new login page.
1.7 The login page contain same banner at the top with client provided image.

1.8 A logo should be displayed as “ware house” at the left pane in login page.
1.9 Login form should be displayed at the right pane in the login page.
1.9.1 login form should be displayed with a note above the login objects as
“welcome to warehouse management system”
1.9.2 System should provided a login form with following credentials.
a. Administrator
b. sub location in charge
c. Retailer
d. supplier
*these four fields are radio buttons.
And Login form should contain the following fields in the below welcome note.. (ie
warehouse management system)
1. User Name
2. password
[Link] should display a “Login” button below the login credential
objects
4. Forgot password (it should be a link.)
1.9.3 Login should changes as per user’s login i.e. Administrator/sub location in
charge / Retailer/supplier
(The four roles should be radio buttons.)
1.9.4 Error message s : when user enter invalid username/pwd etc…
Error messages should be displayed in bellow the login strip.
[Link] An error msg should be displayed as “Required fields cannot be
blank. Please try agin” above the login objects, if user try to login
leaving the login objects blank.
[Link] An error msg should be displayed as “Invalid User name or
password. Please try gain” above the login objects, for invalid login.
[Link] Logging in with valid credentials should direct user to valid
user pages.
1.10 logging in with valid credentials should be direct to valid Administrator/sub
location in charge / Retailer/supplier pages.
1.12 According to the user login, system should display a Welcome Note at the
center of the page as “Welcome to ‘Administrator /sub location in
change/Retailer/supplier’ “
1.13. Forgot password link: when user forgot his password.
1.13.1 The following fields should be displayed at right pane of the forgot
password page.
a. Text message should be displayed at the center of the forgot p/w
strip:
b. enter email id
c. Security questions (ex. What is ur pet name etc..)
d. security answer
e. submit button
f. back button
1.13.2 The following message with respective fields,… should be displayed for
blank submission.
a. All fields are mandatory
If any invalid /blank submit ions…
a. Please enter valid email id
b. Please select security question
c. Please enter security answer
1.13.3 Submit button submitted the credentials..

2.0 Administrator home page.
2.0 According to user login system should display welcome note.
2.1 System should display the following links at the left pane, aligned vertically,
for administrator login:
a. Home
b. Supplier
c. Sub location in charge
d. Product
e. Stock
f. Warehouse purchase
g. Reports
h. Change password
i. Messages
2.1.1. All pages should display “Logout” link at the top right-corner.
When clicked on “Logout” link from any page, system should navigate the to
Master Home page.
2.1.1. Home
It displays administrator home page with welcome note.
2.1.2 supplier page
Supplier page contain following fields.
*And all fields are mandatory.

Supplier page: this page contain two phases ie i) Add suppliers
ii) Delete suppliers.
[Link]. System should displays the add suppliers details with following fields
• Suppliers name
• Password
• Contact no
• E mail

• And addsuplier button.
[Link] Successful submission of suppler details. And displays bellow message.
“Suppliers details inserted successfully”.
All fields are mandatory and displayed with *
[Link] Delete suppliers: is used for delete the supplier in to the
suppliers list.
This option gives the only available suppliers.
It contains two fields in right pane in suppliers page.
Select suppliers name field(list box)
And delete supplier button
[Link]. when user clicks delete button it shows msg like “successfully
deleted”
2.2 Sub location in charge.
Sub location in charge page contains the following fields.
a. Add sub location in charge
b. delete sub location in charge
c. and it contain view in charge details link
All fields are mandatory and displayed with *
2.2.1. System should register sub location in charge details. And it contain
following fields.
• In charge name
• Password
• Contact no
• E mail
• Address
• City
• Security questions (list box)
• Security answer
• country
• And add in charge button

And displays bellow message.
“Suppliers details inserted successfully”.
[Link] Delete sub location in charge .
This option gives only available sub location in charges. and it contain
two fields like
• Select in charge name (list box)
• Delete in charge button.

deleted”
2.2.4. Sub location in charge page contain one link ie viewinchargedetails
When user click the above link system should navigate
viewinchargedetails page.
Viewinchargedetails page: it displays the message like sub location in
charge details.

a. select in charge name (it should be list box and populated with names)
b. And following two buttons. [Link]
2. View all.
224.2 select any in charge name and click on the view button. The view result
should be displayed in a table (in the same page) with following columns.
• Login id
• Username
• Contact
• Email id
• Address
• City
• country
22.4.3 View all button. When user click on view all button, the view all result
should be displayed in a table with all users details. And it displayed according to
page nations.
2.3. Products
Products page contains the following phases.
• Add product product details
• delete products
• and it contain view product link
2.3.1 Add product page page contain following fields
• Product name (text box)
• Product quality(text box) it take only digits
• And add product button

And displays bellow message.
“Successfully product inserted”.
2.3.2. Delete products
Delete products: it contain available products. With bellow fields
• Select product name(list box)
• And delete products.( Button)

2.3.3 Products page contain view product link.
When user click the above link system should navigate view product details
page.
And this page contains these fields.
• Select product name (list box)
• view and (button)
• view all (button)
[Link] Selects the product name and click on the view button and The view
result should be displayed in a table (in the same page) with following columns.
Product id
Product name
Product quality
[Link] View all button: When user click on view all button, the view all
result should be displayed in a table with all users. And it displayed according to
page nations standards.
3. Stock:
3.1 Stock page contains the following fields.
• Add items phase in this phase it contain product and item details.
• Delete items from products this phase contain available items in products.
• And stock page contain view items link.
3.2 Add items phase: this phase had product and item details. And
following fields.
• product name (it should be a list box)
• item name (text box)
• Per Item Cost (text box)
• Item quality (text box)
• Add items (button)
3.3. Successful submission of stock details.
And displays bellow message.
“successfully items inserted”.
3.4. delete item from product phase : this phase had available items in
products with following information( following fields.)
• select product name (it should be a list box)
• select corresponding items name .(list box)
• and delete items button should be displayed the below the above fields:
3.5. When user clicks delete button it shows msg like “successfully item deleted”
4.6. stock page contain view items link.
When user click the above link system should navigate item details page.
And this page contains these fields.
• Select item name (list box)

• view all (button)

select the item name and click on the view button and The view result should
be displayed in a table (in the same page) with following columns.

Item id name
Item name
perItemCost
item quantity
3.6..2 view all button: When user click on view all button, the view all result
should be displayed in a table with all selectd item names. and it displayed
according to page nations.
4.0. Warehouse purchases.
Warehouse purchase page contains purchase order details with following fields.

• Purchase order date (mm/dd/yyyy or dd-mm-yyyy)
• Supplier name (list box)
• Product name(list box)
• Item name (list box)
• Quantity( it should be digits)
• Check no.(it should be digits)
• And add porches order button should be displayed the below the
above fields
4.1. Successful submission of purchase order details. Fill all mandatory fields
and click on add purchase button.
System should display bellow message.
“Message sent to supplier.”
5.0. Reports
When ever user click on particular credentials that will shows the related reports.
5.1. Reports page should be displayed following fields:
• View all suppliers (radio button)
• View all subincharges (radio button)
• View all stock (radio button)
•
• View all purchase orders (radio button)
• View all sales orders (radio button)
• View all retailers. (radio button)
• Select supplier name (it should be list box)
5.2 And report page contain following two buttons

should be displayed in a table form with above columns. According to page
nation standards.

6.1 User name filed contains a default value i.e name of the admin logged in
and should be in
Disable mode.

6.4. New password should accept only 5 to 10 alphanumeric characters and a
pop up window
should be displayed with a message “Please enter valid password”.

“Invalid Old password”

charge pages.
8.2 According to the user login, system should display a Welcome Note at the

8.4. A logo should be displayed at the left pane.
9.0 Retailer page.
Retailer s page contains the following phases.
• Add retailer with retailer details
• delete retailer
9.1. Add retailer phase contain following retailer details.
• Retailers name
• Password
• Contact no
• Email
• Address
• City
• Security questions (it should be a list box)
• Country
9.2 The following button should be displayed at the bottom of the retailers details
page.
• Add retailer
9.3. Enter valid data in to above fields and click on add retailer button .it
should submit the details to database.
. Successful submission of retails details.
And displays bellow message.
“Successfully retailer details inserted”.
9.4. All the fields Mandatory .and it should be preceded with ‘*’.
9.5. An error message will be displayed in the pop up window
Ex: “Please enter retailers name” for respective blank mandatory
fields.
9.6. The retailer page contain another phase ie delete retailer.
9.7. Delete item from retailer phase: this phase had available items in
retailer with following information (following fields.)
• select retailer name (it should be a list box)
• and delete retailer button should be displayed the below the above
field:
9.8. When user clicks delete button it shows msg like “successfully deleted”
10.0 Purchase order.
Purchase order page contain purchase order details with the following fields.
• Purchase order date
• Supplier name (it should be a list box)
• Product name (it should be a list box)
• Item name (it should be a list box)
• Quantity (accept only numerical.)
• Check no (accept only numerical.)
10.1The following button should be displayed below the above fields in
purchase order page.
Add purchase order
10.2 Enter valid data in to above fields and click on Add purchase
button .it should submit the details to database.
. Successful submission of purchase order details.
And displays bellow message.
“Successfully message sent to retailer”
10.3 All the fields Mandatory .and it should be preceded with ‘*’.
10.4 An error message will be displayed in the pop up window
Ex: “Please enter purchase order date for respective blank mandatory
fields.
11.0 Sales order details page
Sales order page contains sales order details with the following fields.
• Sales order date
• Select retailer name (it should be a list box)
• Select product name(it should be a list box)
• Select item name (it should be a list box)
• Product cost (it accept numeric only)
• Item cost (it accept numeric only)
• Item quantity. (it accept numeric only)
11.1 The following button should be displayed below the above fields in
sales order details page.
Add sales order
11.2 Enter valid data in to above fields and click on Addsalesorder
button .it should submit the details to database.
. Successful submission of retails details.
And displays bellow message.
“Successfully message sent to retailer”
11.3 All the fields Mandatory .and it should be preceded with ‘*’.
11.4 An error message will be displayed in the pop up window
Ex: “Please enter sales order date” for respective blank mandatory
fields.
12. Messages.
12.1. Sub location in charge receives some conform messages from
suppliers retails module.
12.2. Messages page should be displayed a message grid. Grid contain following
columns

• Text
• Date
• Action.( like delete)
13.0 Retailer.(module)
13.1. Logging in with valid credentials should be direct to Retailer pages.
13.2 According to the user login, system should display a Welcome Note at the
center of the page as “Welcome to ‘retailer “
