IRCTC

The IRCTC is known as Indian Railways Catering and Tourism


Corporation and is a subsidiary of the Indian Railways.

They offer services such as of Catering, Tourism and Ticketing.

It was founded on 16th April, 1857 along with Indian Railways.

The voice behind the setting up of Indian Railways is unknown, but for
the first time ever the idea to introduce Railways was made in
Madras in 1845.

The IRCTC website also has several records under its name. It became
the first website to sell 5,80,000 tickets in a day on 2nd
September, 2003 which was surpassed on 19th March, 2014 with
5,82,000 tickets sold in a day, which again was surpassed on 2nd
April, 2015 with 11,00,000 tickets sold in a day. According to
certain sources on an average the IRCTC sold 13,40,000 tickets a
day in the month of April, 2015.

Deep Kalra is an Indian businessman who is the founder and


group CEO of MakeMyTrip an Indian online travel company. He was

MakeMyTrip (India) Pvt., Ltd. operates as an online travel company in
India. It provides booking services for flights, hotels, and buses; and
holiday packages and travel guides. The company was founded in 2000
and is headquartered in Gurgaon, India with additional offices in New
Delhi, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nashik

in Gurugram, Haryana. It was founded by Dhruv Shringi, Manish
Amin and Sabina Chopra in August 2006.

Bhatt, Matthew Spacie and Stuart Crighton. Seeing the
fragmentation that existed in the Indian travel and hospitality sector,
the founders decided to enter the online travel space with a vision of
making travel simple.
Cleartrip also operates Cleartrip for Business, an
online corporate travel management tool; Agent Box a travel tool
for travel agents; and Cleartrip Mobile, a travel booking app for
mobile devices
The company got into strategic partnerships expanding the
footprint of its integrated travel services in 48 European and 18
Southeast Asian countries[ In June 2018, Cleartrip announced its
partnership with Kerala Tourism Development Corporation to become
an online seller of KTDC’s exclusive set of activities

2007 by Ashish Kashyap. The company is a subsidiary of MakeMyTrip
Limited, Mauritius which owns a 100% stake in Ibibo Group
