I General Program Information:
Program Title: In-Service Training and Workshop of Buhi SPED Integrated School Teachers
Rationale:
Every school year, teachers are bound to have a part of their time for training agreed to
enhance their knowledge and skills on classroom instruction and management for diverse
learners with exceptionalities. It is also necessary to determine instructional strategies and
materials based on the Modified Curriculum for Learners with Disabilities. The updating of a
standard Individualized Education Plan of Learners with exceptionalities will also be considered
since it is a part of their KRA.
The training is scheduled for a 5-day period which will be from October 23 to October
27, 2017. This will coincide with the semestral break of all the students.
Objectives:
After the 5-day training, the district SPED Teachers are expected to:
1. Improve teaching competence on the different teaching-learning strategies.
2. Enhance teacher’s knowledge and skills on classroom instruction and management for
diverse learners with exceptionalities.
3. Determine instructional strategies and materials based on the Modified Curriculum
for Learners with Disabilities
4. Update Individualized Education Plan of Learners with Exceptionalities.

V Introduction:
Every school year, teachers are bound to have a part of their time for training
and seminar workshops in order for them to be harnessed in their job as teachers. In
this training, the teachers have planned and agreed to enhance their knowledge and
skills on classroom instruction and management for diverse learners with
exceptionalities. It is also necessary to determine instructional strategies and materials
based on the Modified Curriculum for Learners with Disabilities. The preparation of a
standard Individualized Education Plan of Learners witih exceptionalities (IEP) will also
be considered.
The training is scheduled for a 5-day period which will be from October 24 to
October 28, 2016. This will coincide with the semestral break of all the students.
VI Objectives:
After the 5-day training, the district SPED Teachers are expected to:
1. Improve teaching competence on the different teaching-learning strategies.

VII Methodology
The Principal asked the proponent to make a separate project proposal for the
In-SeT of Secondary School Teachers. Afterwhich was the preparation of the project
proposal and approval at the Division Office.
To facilitate the programming, a training matrix was made. Since there are only
six teachers in High School, all of them were assigned a topic to discuss. Everything was
done smoothly and implemented as planned from October 24-28, 2016. The last day
was a Team Building activity at Bersabaren, Iriga City.
VIII Results and Recommendations
As a whole, the activity was successful with the assisitance of the Principal by
having some rounds during the conduct of the In-Service Training and Workshop of the
Buhi SPED Integrated School Teachers.
It is really advisable to constantly have in-service trainings to enhance teachers in
their field of work.
