1/7 Introduced ledger lines C’s. Good progress on her melodic motives.
1/14 Quizzed her on the C’s. Did well after I told her to use the C’s to figure out other notes.
1/28 Is “practicing smartly” 3 weeks in a row, so I gave her the eraseable highlighter.
Started her on the new scale requirements for level 4.
2/7 Practiced intervals 2-5 by ear at lessons. Is getting 3rds and 5ths confused. Assigned a
Web activity to help with this.
2/14 Missed lesson - sick. I offered a Skype or phone lesson, but they declined.
2/21 Excellent lesson! So musical. She even commented on some of her notes being
“sloppy” and fixed them. Gave her 2 Certificates of Artistry.
2/28 Review intervals 2-5 by ear. Quiz her on C’s again.
Introduce her recital piece.
Give her the Level 4 Practice Theory Test
