Presentation, Analysis, and Interpretation of Data
This chapter presents, analyzes and interprets the gathered data and are presented in tabular forms.
Figure 2 shows the integral design of the modular lamp. It illustrates 3 utmost parts; the wooden base with a 2x2x5 inch
hole, the low density polyethylene plastics suspended in structural adhesive, and of course, the lightbulb. The modular
lamp has a height of 19.05 cm, and a length and width of 8.26 cm. This would imply that the modular lamp is rugged and
well built.
Figure 3 exhibits the modular stool’s constitutive design made by the researchers. Measuring a height of 51.44 cm, the
Modular Stool consists of a metal frame, metal legs, and a wooden seat mixed with low density polyethylene plastics
and cut out plastic wrappers suspended in structural adhesive. This would mean that the modular stool could support
tremendous weight because of the metal frame and legs, and has a unique yet stylish appearance because of the plastics
inside the structural adhesive.
As you can see, Table 1 displays the procedures in making the modular furniture using structural adhesive and
polyethylene plastics. Making a modular lamp is a 5-Step procedure. First is gathering and cleaning the recycled
materials. Second, trimming the wood and applying varnish. Third, using the molder and pouring the structural adhesive
along with the low density polyethylene plastics. Fourth, removing the molder, sanding and applying rubbing compound
for a clear finish and inserting the lightbulb into the lamp.
Making a Modular Stool is also a 5-Step procedure. Similar to the modular lamp, gathering and cleaning the recycled
materials, trimming the wood, putting the molder and applying structural adhesive with low density polyethylene
plastics and cut up plastic wrappers, welding together the metal frame and legs then painting, and lastly, attaching the
frame and legs to the seat.
This would only imply that the researchers meticulously planned each step before making the modular furniture such as
the Modular Lamp and Modular Stool. It requires detailed measurement, patience and proper execution in order to
achieve the best results
Here are the evaluation results of the respondents in Modular Lamp. In terms of design, the modular lamp is very
satisfactory as it is very artistic, fits perfectly as decoration, smooth and is well suited with plastic wastes, it is also
satisfactory in terms of durability. The Modular Lamp was said to be very satisfactory in terms of efficiency because it is
bright, environment friendly, can be used as an ornamental object, and is safe to use. It is also satisfactory in terms of
electricity efficiency. The Modular lamp was very satisfactory in terms of Accessibility as the materials used are easily
accessible, it is lightweight, easy to assemble, portable and convenient to use.
