Acknowledgement

First, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to my Professor, Engr. Leon B. Palmiano IV for

his continuous support of this project, for his patience and immense knowledge given about the

matter. His guidance and discussions helped me in designing and computing my project, I could

not have imagined having a better advisor for this project.

I would also like to thank,

Engr. Charmaine Narvadez, for her continuous motivation and constructive criticisms that made

my project as it is;

Engr. Jahziel Pabines, our professor in earthquake engineering last year, for helping me in

identifying the earthquake components of my lot located at the Poblacion, Cabusao, Camarines

Sur;

Engr. Angeline Bulacan who not only have helped and taught me about the structural design and

analysis of my project but have also motivated me throughout the whole project. This project

would not have been possible without her;

My classmates for motivating and assuring me that I can finish this project on time. All the

sleepless nights have become knowledge that we can bring in our journey as future engineers.

My friends, particularly my group, who have always been there to help and support me.

And lastly, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to my parents, Jay R. Peñ aredondo and
