Introduction to the Course

Hi, I'm Jon Wardle. I'm the deputy director of the National Film and
Television School in the UK. And this is our free online course,
Explore Animation. The course is run in partnership with Creative
Skill Set. And whether you're a fan of animation or an actual
animator, this course should have something for you. It will take
you behind the scenes of a variety of animation techniques, and
films, and productions. And you'll meet some award winning
animators.

This week, we're going to look at stop-motion animation. And we're


going to be at Aardman Animations in Bristol with Merlin
Crossingham talking about Morph. And we're also going to be at the
National Film and Television School with recent graduate Kristina
Yee. Kristina won the student Oscar for her film Miss Todd.
