Smart home / Smart City has become a hot topic in Hong

Kong. Realising that they could use smart devices to make
their lives easier, some students created this Smart Fan with
an electric fan, an H bridge and a temperature sensor. For
example, when the temperature is higher than 30°C, the fan
will be turned on automatically.

The concept is similar to the “Pet Water Feeder”. Students

used a water level sensor and a servo to create this
sewage discharge. When the sewage (water/rain) level is
high, the servo will turn upside down to discharge water.

Some students have made this system to classify the coins

by their sizes and make the coins fall into different
compartment. When the coins fall down, the Obstacle
Sensor will send a message to turn on the respective LED.

Student created a sound level alarm using different colours of

LED, button and sound level sensor. When the
surrounding is noisy, the alarm will indicate the level of sound
with different colours of LED. The sound level alarm has
