Government Plans for COVID-19 Response

As a high-ranking government official in the Philippines, I would have three main plans to address the COVID-19 pandemic: 1. Enforce strict lockdown measures such as stay-at-home orders and travel restrictions to prevent further spread of the virus since the Philippines is at high risk. 2. Ensure adequate resources and budgets are distributed to local governments and frontline workers to properly handle the surge in cases and provide services to citizens. 3. Educate citizens on the regulations and importance of compliance to gain cooperation and discipline in order to contain the virus through self-isolation and social distancing.

If you are a high-ranking government official, what is/are your plan/s in solving the

problems brought by the Covid-19 pandemic?

“Philippines, one of the high-risk countries from the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak, recorded
the first death outside China. The government has announced lock-down of Metro Manila, followed
by the entire Luzon island and is mulling over more localised lock-downs. The Philippines
government declared a state of calamity in the country for six months on 17 March. The first case of
novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV, now COVID-19) in the Philippines was confirmed on 30 January
2020, in a 38-year old woman who arrived from Wuhan. Two days later, the Philippines recorded the
first death outside China on 01 February 2020. The Philippines government declared a health
emergency on 09 March, following a spike in new confirmed cases and local transmission. The move
will release funds to local governments and healthcare officials to handle any further surge in cases.
The COVID-19 Code Alert system was revised upwards to Red Sublevel 2 on 12 March. As of 31
March, the total Philippines coronavirus cases stand at 1,546. One of the coronavirus-confirmed on 06
March was confirmed to be a human-to-human transmission putting the nation on a high alert. The
man attended prayer in late February, which increases the concerns of possible transmission to other
devotees who attended the same. The country’s first death was of a 44-year old Chinese national, who
was the relative of the first patient diagnosed with COVID-19. The patient developed severe
pneumonia. A total of 78 deaths have been reported in the country.” This data shows we are not
prepared for this pandemic especially in our country with many populations and lacking medical
equipment.

If I were high-ranking government official, what might be the plans I have in mind to solve
problems brought by the COVID-19 pandemic? First because I am an official of a country, I should
also search or think about the news that is happening outside the country so that it may spread the
COVID-19 I am ready for the steps that should be made so that I can preserve my people. And my
families were taken for their safe. Because of what happened to us we are not prepared or have
ignored this virus so that we are one of the high-risk countries from the Wuhan coronavirus or
COVID-19. Its spread was accelerated if the data above were to be found in the first two weeks we
had reached the Red Sublevel 2 to which it was already a high-class level for a small country like
Philippines. Compared to other small countries, they quickly have the spread of the virus because they
alert the news or activities that occur outside their country. I know we have many problems yet faced
apart from this virus. But if we are to think of our own self-discipline, we can also quickly relieve the
spread of this pandemic. It is not easy to become an official of the country but, in the number of
seated and unified, it is a quick test. Especially our country or the whole citizen of the Philippines is
affected here. And when it comes to sharing budgets for citizens has also not been well due to a lack
of information on how to control the budget release for the people because of the official who does
not have any of the same disharmony in the same country, so the local government does not know
how to share budgets correctly and also one of the reasons for those in the local government Have
already been beaten for citizens ' budgets. So, the people are disobedient to the rules that should be
followed to prevent the spread of COVID-19, so that they can earn money because the budget and
food that our government is doing is not enough.

Second as a government official should keep the rules and regulation in our country in place
because staying at home is a great factor to reduce the spread of a virus or COVID-19 pandemic in
our country because we will be able to associate with other people and also avoid having diseases that
are also one of the virus causes. and the sharing of goods in our citizens is to be properly handled.

Datuin, Dominic R.
And all citizens shall be accounted in their homes until lifted the virus which we face. And I will be
deceived that all the people who are unemployed and worthy of the goods shall be given. Last, to help
our country all those who do not comply with the rules and regulation that are being exercised by our
country will I change the front-liners that are working to help us properly and give us protection to
prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our country. And all of the front-liners will be given sufficient
budgets to provide a better service for our safety and for those affected by the virus that they can
overcome.

Thanks to Lord, because he did not forsake us to give up this pandemic. Especially the front-
liners who are struggling to provide us with good service and to properly implement the rules and
recommendation of our country to avoid continuing to spread the virus. And hopefully these months
will be completely lost as a virus and have a vaccine for it in which all of us will be able to work
again and study students who are studying in the public and cannot afford to provide the online class,
especially those of the neighbouring towns on the mountain who are unable to travel through the
travel ban and lack of vehicle to travel because of the rules being implemented. For now, we need to
be united and have discipline to ourselves, because we do not know if it is going to end. What is
important is that we can be ready for the consequences of our health and all of us.
