LESSON PLAN IN PRACTICAL RESEARCH 2

Date: June 3, 2019

Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to
1. identify classroom rules and regulations and requirements in the subject.
2. express expectations of things to be taken up in the subject.
3. show cooperation during activity and appreciation to one another.

Subject Matter:
Topic: Orientation on the following:
Classroom rules and regulations
Subject grading system and requirements
Identifying expectations of the subject
Coverage of lesson

Procedure:
A. Engage
The teacher will start the class through prayer.
The teacher will post this question:
 Why are laws important in the society? (Integration of topic from Political
Science)
 If you are to conduct a research, are there rules to follow? Why? (Integration
of Ethics/Values)
 What are examples of rules in Mathematics that you need to follow?
(Integration of Mathematics)
 If you log in to your FB accounts and other social media, are there rules you
need to follow? Why? (Integration of ICT/E-Tech)
 Why are rules important? (Integration of Valued Education)

B. Explore
1. The teacher will explain the objectives of the lesson.
2. The teacher will discuss the grading system to the students and explain the
requirements and coverage of the lessons.
3. The class will be oriented on the rules and regulations of the subject as well as to
motivate them to appreciate each other towards a harmonious relationship in
class through the Inner Outer Circle Activity.
4. The students will be tasked to prepare a ¼ sheet of paper and to write their
name on it. A group of students will form a smaller circle and another group of
students will form an outer circle surrounding the smaller circle. Students will
take hold of their ¼ paper and will face each other. The student they come face
to face with will be their partner. The partners will exchange papers and write
one positive comment about their partner.
5. The students in the circle can be asked to move or rotate in circle in order to
randomize their partnering option.
6. The teacher will call a certain student. When the name is called, the student and
his/her partner will share to the class what they have written about each other
and what their expectations are about the subject.
7. The teacher will repeat the same procedure in calling several other students.

C. Explain
. 1. Give one classroom rule/regulation that you think is needed to follow. Explain.
2. Why is there a need to follow classroom rules and regulations?
3. How can you help the class in following the rules and regulations?
4. What are your expectations of the subject?
5. What are the requirements of the subject?
6. What are the things that you need to prepare for the subject?
7. How will you be graded in the subject?
8. How do you feel when your classmates appreciate you?
9. Why is there a need to focus on the positive side of your classmates?
10. How can showing appreciation help in creating a harmonious classroom
atmosphere?
Note: The teacher will facilitate discussion and integrate importance of good values
not only in the class but in society, in conducting research, and in other fields such as in
sports, in health, in economics/business, and even in ICT and that all other aspects of life
requires us to follow certain rules and obey authorities.

D. Elaborate
What could be your best asset or attitude that could help you succeed in the conduct
of research?

E. Evaluate
1. Enumerate 3 classroom rules and regulations that need to be observed in the
subject.
2. Why do you need to observe or follow the rules and regulations in class?
3. Give two requirements of the subject.
4. What is the grading system of the subject?
5. Give one lesson to be tackled in the subject.
