Glycolysis Pathway: Energetics & Significance

This document provides an overview of the topics to be covered in a biochemistry theory course. It outlines 5 units that will examine biomolecules, bioenergetics, carbohydrate metabolism, lipid metabolism, amino acid metabolism, nucleic acid metabolism, enzymes, and genetic information transfer. Several key metabolic pathways such as glycolysis, the citric acid cycle, beta-oxidation of fatty acids, and the urea cycle are mentioned. Important enzyme kinetics concepts and different types of enzyme regulation are also listed. The course appears to provide foundational knowledge in biochemistry and metabolism.
