Swine and Bovine Skin Diseases Overview

This document summarizes several cases of pig and bovine dermatological diseases and their causes. It describes cases of vasculitis in pigs caused by Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae bacteria and porcine circovirus type 2, as well as a hereditary pig disease called porcine juvenile pustular psoriasiform dermatitis. It also discusses dermatophilosis, a bacterial skin infection of ruminants and horses caused by Dermatophilus congolensis, and dermal stephanofilariasis of bovids caused by the nematode Stephanofilaria stilesi.
