Occupancy Permit Application Guide

Upon project completion, property owners must apply for an Occupancy Permit from the Municipal Engineer's Office before occupying the building. The checklist of requirements includes pictures of the building, certifications from licensed engineers and plumbers, a structural stability certificate for buildings over two stories, current tax receipts, professional IDs, an authorization letter if applying on behalf of someone else, completed application forms, approved building permits, building plans, and as-built plans and specifications if there were changes from the approved plans. Applicants submit the requirements, then the office conducts an inspection, computes fees, and issues the permit if approved.
