CONTROLLING

As the manager said in big bazaar

 Product quality control-Different customer has different needs, wants and
desire. Each product has different quality parameters which should meet
the standard of [Link] one should try to control the price changes in
the market. As I see in big bazaar it focuses on low cost pricing and discount
offers on various products so sometimes customer does not get a good
quality of product

 Service quality control-Big bazaar hires mostly semiskilled workers who

know how to operate mobile phones but sometimes if this worker is facing
difficulty for proper communication with the customer. When I visited big
bazaar there were three foreign customers they were not able to
communicate directly to the first semiskilled worker they met and that
worker calls another worker who has good proficiency in English. Long
billing queues be controlled because most of the space is cover by them.
The store was facing a problem with a lack of retail space.

 Budget controlling-Before opening a retail store we must know how many

employees are required and how much space is required to open a retail
store. We visited Singapore mall it is an average mall and big bazaar is the
only big store for grocery shopping at a good location. The store which we
visit has 60 semiskilled labors with an average monthly salary Rs.10,000 per
month for sales to Rs.37,000 per month for people working in the back
office. This budget is a flexible budget because salary keep on changing
every year.

 Feedback control-For the satisfaction of customers big bazaar delivers

many offers and points. Big bazaar takes feedback from customers which
are analyzed and executed by executives to develop long term customers.

 Direct supervision-The store which I visited is under direct supervision

because it consist of 60 employees [Link] I visited Big bazaar I
remembered that my team was waiting for HR for 3 hours because he was
doing direct supervision of all the sections of that department store

 Motivation in controlling-Every store has a standard in terms of daily target

to achieve that standard motivation of employees is very crucial part for a
[Link] store we visited and ask Hr about his motivational techniques
used in store to achieve a particular [Link] tells that Motivation is
different for different people a person who newly joined the store for
him/her motivation will be incentives or bonus but for a person working
for last 10 years his motivation level is different.
