with nearly 50 Chicago area locations and more than $2.5 billion in
assets. It has the strength and stability that come from a consistent,
diversified earnings stream, strong internal equity generation, sound
asset quality, and a liquid and conservative balance sheet. The goal of
this project was to maintain the data warehouse that could support the
banks various reporting and information needs. Data was spread out in
multiple and diverse sources in databases located in different regions.
Dimensional modeling using the star schema architecture was
implemented to achieve the task.

Responsibilities:
• Worked with the Business analyst and DBA for requirements
gathering, business analysis, testing and project coordination.
• Gathered and translated business requirements into detailed,
technical specifications, new features, and enhancements to
existing technical business functionality.
• Worked with the project manager to develop the project plan for
the first two phases of the project.
• Resolved the revolving issues by conducting and participating in
JAD sessions with the users, modelers, and developers.
• Conducted design discussions and meetings to come out with the
appropriate data mart.

• Key participant in gathering user requirements along with


business analysts.
• Transformed project data requirements into project data models
using ERWin.
• Designed the data marts in dimensional data modeling using star
and snowflake schemas.
