Understanding Activity Intolerance

The nursing diagnosis was activity intolerance related to generalized weakness. The goal was for the patient to be able to use identified techniques to enhance activity intolerance after 4 hours of nursing intervention. The nursing interventions included gradually increasing the patient's exercise and activity levels, teaching methods to enhance tolerance, assisting with activities and monitoring the use of assistive devices, promoting comfort, and planning for a progressive increase in activity level and exercise training as tolerated.
