METHOD STATEMENT FOR GRASSING

Soil Grading and Preparation :

1) Sub Soil shall be excavated to get 200 mm depth for finished level of
Sweet Soil.
2) Grade the excavated surface to receive sweet soil.

Planting Medium :

1) Planting medium shall be a mix of Soil, Compost and Fertilizer. Fill the
areas to be planted with Sweet Soil.
2) Mix the soil with Compost (1/2 bag per M2) and Fertilizer (100 gms/M2).

Preparation :

1) Bring the water content of the area to be planted to field capacity and allow
water to percolate until standing water disappears
2) Cultivate the soil to a depth of 150 to 200 mm

Planting :

1) Sow the gates stolons evenly


2) Plant using a disc to cut the stolons and followed by a rolling
3) Water as necessary to keep the stolon bed moist until germinate
