Hydro-Mechanical Jar Jars & Accelerators

The Coiled Tubing Hydro-Mech Jar has been developed around the successful wireline Hydro-Mechanical Jar. However,
this design is fully torque through and incorporates a through bore to convey fluids.

The unique patented hydraulic/mechanical release mechanism combines the simplicity of the Hydraulic Jar (no calibration
requirements) with the reliability of the Mechanical Jar (reduced hydraulic stroke).
These features unite to provide a jar that will always fire irrespective of what load is applied and which is less prone to
gassing up.

Jarring action is initiated by applying a tensile load to the toolstring.

For simplicity/cost effectiveness a custom designed disc spring Accelerator is offered, which complements the Jar by
increasing the impact load.

Accelerator Jars & Accelerators

The BDK Coiled Tubing Accelerator has been designed to complement the BDK Hydro-Mechanical Upstroke Jar, being
fully torque through and incorporating a through bore to convey fluids.

Application of a tensile load will store elastic energy within the springs, which is released when the jar "fires" causing greater
acceleration to the Jar Rod resulting in larger impact loads at the fish.

This Accelerator utilises disc springs as opposed to a fluid charged Accelerator for increased reliability.
