Technology in Foreign Language Education

The document discusses the importance of using technology to support foreign language learning in modern education. It argues that technology can provide more flexible and equitable learning opportunities for all students regardless of their background or abilities. While access to technology is still limited for some families, it is important that education systems develop plans to better integrate technology and foreign language instruction across their curriculums from elementary through secondary levels. Nowadays learning a foreign language must be supported on the use of technology

The day of education of foreign languages is compulsory determined by the design of the existing
need for control of these, that is, you cannot pose a professional activity without mastering a
foreign language that allows expanding job opportunities and intellectuals. Professional
circumstances and the demands of society does not give rise to consider the possibility or not to
master more than one language besides their Undoubtedly, technology may offer better
opportunities to learn, and even to improve the quality of life for all people with learning
difficulties or physical and, in some cases, only technology can provide appropriate access to
education.

That is why the technology has to be compatible today with this learning, we must see it as a
useful tool for learners as they are flexible for training, it can contribute to equal opportunity in
education regardless of sex, geographical location, social or ethnic origin, illness or any other
circumstance which normally prevent or hinder access, in terms of equal opportunities and,
quality education.

But beyond these pragmatic aspects, I believe that the fight against the digital divide, closely
related to the difficulty that some families and therefore their children have access to the
technology should become a political priority for excellence in field of technology and education.
While it is undeniable trend to a progressive universal access to technology and, in particular, the
Internet in homes in developed countries, it is certain that some truly irreducible pockets where
such access is still do not persist. We must emphasize the importance of learning a foreign
language and using competent to draw up action plans for technology and foreign languages
match, including them in the curriculum of educational institutions.

If we start from training English teachers of high quality, integrated strategic teaching, humanities,
research, specific and supportive in their curriculum, using technology fields allow us to give a
better education to students from elementary through secondary, using the tics and that young
people are the main users of these technologies.

Having a teaching methodology where applied technologies give us a big positive because
education should go hand in hand with progress and technological developments and also if we
implement this methodology not only in a classroom but also in what We do, with a whole school
or a community, even a whole country, also learning foreign languages not only be to everyone
but will also be a community at the forefront of globalization that we are suffering.
