Data Analysis
In order to determine the inclusive culture and practices used, a survey was sent to all of
the general education teachers at the desired school site. The survey was sent out to the 22
general education teachers at the preferred school site and 11 participated in the survey. Out of
the 22 general education teachers, there are twenty-one females and one male. The effect of
non-responses is considered in the interpretation of the results. The survey found information
about the participants regarding their gender, age, educational level, the current level of teaching,
years in teaching, and special needs courses taken. The demographics of the participants are
shown in Appendix A (Charts 1-6). After the data was collected, the information was separated
into three distinct categories: inclusive culture, inclusive practices, and teacher training. The
qualitative data was analyzed by summarizing the answers to the open-ended questions within
the survey to find emerging themes. Quantitative data was analyzed by putting the answers into
numerical data and then into charts in order to identify the trends.
