Project description
From our point of view the design and the concept of the pill represented a bridge to
the future. We wanted to present an innovative product, a new product in the market. The
development and market introduction of a new, redesigned and substantially improved good
represented the key tool of our product, and also a new fact for the pharmaceutical companies.
We created the concept of „pill of hapiness „due to the fact that nowadays many
people suffer from depression, have complex about themselfs, feel tired and insecured and
also are very sad and have a low level of satisfaction that reflects in the own way of living.
So, we came up to the idea that society is a cruel world and since everyone have to face this
reality we wanted to improve the standard of living and also to target the people that want
satisafaction and joy in their lives, this beeing the usefullnes of our product.
This pill is a mixture of Di-ammonium phosphate, yeast hulls, vitamins(B,C), and
magnesium sulphate. It is useful to re-start slow or stuck fermentations and was design to
transform in the water so that it can realease all the ingredients( Vitamin C especially) and to
mantain the properties all day long. Also it is usefull to carry( it is very littel and it cames in a
tube to deposite all of them) and easy to preapare.
The competitive advantage of this pill is the fact that all the ingredients came from
secured sources and that it does not have any negative effects on people as some other product
from the market have. It is also the fact that is solving to important problems, ony one pill
energize and makes you feel more happy. Also the price is very accesible and you do not need
a recomandation from your familly doctor, beeing accesible to everyone.
If we are thinking about managerial functions we can mention the fact that our
planning was very important for us and represented a big step in our work. Planning involved
defining a goal and determining the most effective course of action needed to reach that goal.
Typically, involved flexibility, as all the members of our team must coordinate with all levels
of management and leadership in the organization. Planning also involves knowledge of our
own resources and the future objectives of the business that we planned. It was a little
irealistic for us but it helped the fact that we wore thinking from the beging as a company
with no experience and no past in the market, so all this procees must be done perfect in order
to be able to mantain in the market. Also, we need to attract investors so we should have a
very good strategy and also smar marketing. Organizing all this information is also an
important step so that we should take into consideration every single one of it. The staff also
must be formed only by experts (Teodora, Bogdan) that understand the needs of the future
potential clinets and people that are also specialised in the are( so that the resould would be
the best one). We are going to hire people in the future in order to control de needs for our
comapny. Staffing involves more than just recruitment; staffing also encompasses training
and development, performance appraisals, promotions and transfers. Without the staffing
function, the business would fail because the business would not be properly staffed to meet
its goals.
The controlling and coordinating of our work was easy. We did not have a ledear since
all of us were drivers for diffrent topics and needs. We stareted with a process of
brainstorming that helped us to undersant what, why, how we want. We also used a very
usefull tool in order to mantain all the ideas: we created a tree of ideas from postits. When we
considered that an idee should be kept in mind( a leaf should fall from the tree) we put the
poster on a page. This could show us all the information and priotirize the ones that we
considered relevant.

Description of my role
Role: Strategy of the company
I was the one that needed to adapt and to anticipate the evolution of our company and
also to be able to create a strategy that will attract the clients, gain their trust and also think
about our future and our needs for the next years. Also I needed to reserch the people wishes
and nededs in order to adapt to them, but also to predict future stept in order companies, and
to analize the on the pharmaceutical market. I also needed to think about our barndin and
strategy of marketing we want to implement.
Long therm well beeing
Direct exporting
--by selling directly into the market we have chosen using in the first instance you own
resources. Usually, agents become the face of your company and thus it is important that your
choice of agents and distributors is handled in much the same way you would hire a key staff
person.
Licensing
--is a relatively sophisticated arrangement where a firm transfers the rights to the use of a
product or service to another firm. It is a particularly useful strategy if the purchaser of the
license has a relatively large market share in the market you want to enter. Licenses can be for
marketing or production. Licensing.
Buying a Company
In pharmaceutical markets buying an existing local company may be the most appropriate
entry strategy. This may be because the company has substantial market share, are a direct
competitor to you or due to government regulations this is the only option for your firm to
enter the market. It is certainly the most costly and determining the true value of a firm in a
foreign market will require substantial due diligence. On the plus side this entry strategy will
immediately provide you the status of being a local company and you will receive the benefits
of local market knowledge, an established customer base and be treated by the local
government as a local firm. Also we do not need to construct an important brand in the
market, and we already have a strong external image. This is only a possiblity not a certain
wish.
Goals
Our principal goal is to create an awarness of HPY pill and in 5 up to 10 years to be part of
the modern society.
- increase your selling space by 25 percent by completing an addition to your building within a
year.
-challenge your salespeople to improve their closing ratio from to 45 percent.
Description of the role of my teammates
While I was devoling a stategy for our company the experts that are part of the team where
dealing with diffrent problems.
Bogdan Jarcă was the chimist of our team and his role was concerned about the fact that he
needed to undersant the procces of making a pill( steps) Not only that he tried to understan the
hole process( he was looking at diffrent videos an read a lot) but he was reserching about the
ingridients that our pills should have. So, the ingridiens that I have presented in the project
description needed to be specific for our main goal of the pill(to make people happy and
energized) and also to do not infunece the people behaive and do not have negative effects on
them.
Teodora Moldovan was the one that needed to present the concept and the effects of our
product. Her main goal was to transmit to potential clients the fact that the pill was designed
for them in the most good way possible. Also she nedded to make sure that our competitive
adantage remain the same and that it can be undersant by the public. Basically, she was the
one that think about the concet of a pill that have to be put in a glass, ( effervecente pill)the
tube that contain 5 pills and also the fact that the ingridients used are accesible to everyone
(you do no need dprescription for the pill)
What I learned from this project?
The experince of beeing part of a team of a project is a useful thing nowadays but
the experince is different everytime. Why? Because the people you are doing the project with
are not the same, they have different belives, different expectation and different standards of
living, so you need to be flexible. Also, you need to make sure that all the members of the
team are working to reach the same goal and do not try to reach different objectives.
I have learned to work better in a team, to listen, to ask for feedback, to consider all
the variants and to adapt according to the team members. I realized that it is good to consider
the personalities of the members and the background with which they come and that it is
necessary to adapt according to these things. We have realized that it is not okay to lose focus
on certain "surface" things and that we need to be aware of the problem and what causes it. I
learned a lot more about myself and about my way of being and relating. I have learned to
think, analyze, explain, express things differently. I have learned that the way each work is
different and that sometimes our purpose and why are not the same. We realized that the idea
and prospect in itself differs from execution, why a good understanding between us is
necessary in order for there to be continuity and linearity; I have learned that it is necessary to
know first of all your very best to be able to tell you why you are capable. I learned how to
select, differentiate and take in the horse what I think would help. I have learned to cherish the
past. We realized it was okay to ask for more and raise the level.
I also learn to adapt to each other and to understand that our ways of working are vary
diffrent. Assign one person to take the notes during the [Link] ensures that the right
information is recorded. All information, ideas and actions can then be documented
correctly into a single database. People want to do a good job and sync with other aspects of
their project, but if they don't have situational awareness, then those good intentions are just
intentions. At extremes, the lack of communication then results in misinterpretations of why
things aren't syncing.
Few new project managers seem to appreciate the importance of the project plan right
away. I know that I saw this as more of a nuisance than a potential help when I first started
writing one. However, it is only once the project is all over and you look back on it that you
realize the value of a top quality plan. If you ran into some problems along the way then there
is a good chance that the plan was involved in it and that a badly written one made the
situation more complicated than it already was. Once you realize the important of planning in
project management then you will be a lot more comfortable in the role.
Certain intelligent behaviours are important for successful project work (e.g. curiosity,
openness, reality orientation, objectivity, precision, confidence, responsibility, consensus and
collaboration). When you undertake a project, you should focus on not only what you know,
but also how you behave when you don’t know. It is only when you are confronted with
questions and problems for which you do not know the immediate answer that you develop
intelligent behaviours which include persistence, decreasing impulsivity, listening to others,
cooperative thinking, flexibility in thinking, a sense of humour, drawing on past knowledge
and applying it to new situations, and risk taking.
Tips and tricks that I learned:
Deliver the expected information
Be adjusted to deliver some benfits
Be stopped because they are not expected to deliver the business benefits originally
intended, at any level of success, or they are focused on business benefits that are no longer
relevant
Have an open and constructive discussion within the team about the failure. That
serves both to communicate the lessons and leverage their collective intelligence
Analyze root causes together
Work out an immediate action plan to minimize the impact of the project failure
Codify the lessons learned into processes and practices: “The next time this happens,
we do that.” This could be viewed as a long-term form of communication
