Week 1 Teaching Reflection at AL Hanan

The student teacher had a difficult first week at her school placement as the master teachers did not properly introduce her to the students. As a result, she struggled to connect with the students and receive feedback from them. By the third day, she took the initiative to introduce herself to the students. The master teachers then began giving her more opportunities to participate as a teacher. Her goal for the next week is to better engage with the master teachers and students to improve her integration into the classroom.

H00277097 Reflection on week 1

As I am in year 4 the school that I attended to practice my teaching in AL Hanan

kindergarten. as my first week I attend the school my reflection of welcoming me as a

teacher was not what I expected at all because at first day when we entered the school we

were searching for someone to connected with them to tell them about us then there were

secretary she welcome as and tell us about when we attend and when we leave the school,

after that she took us to the MST her name is Mariam, she welcome me but she didn’t

introduce me to the student that was little difficult with me. In general what I was

difficult to me at the first week to be connected with the students because the MSTs not

interduce me at them and when I tried to talk with the students they weren’t give me the

feedback that I was expected it. I was hard for me. However, I step out at a teacher and I

interduce my self at the students at the third day and then the MST she started to be

confident with me and give me the chance to get involve with them as a teacher.

Although, at the first week the MST let me to give them a part of the lesson to give them

the instruction of the activities that they will do according the lesson that they took, after

that I did with them the activities and they were asking me question here I now that I

improve my self and they know me as a teacher of English. All what I wanted at the first

week that the students know me and get involve with me as a teacher. On the other hand,

the MSTs wasn’t that happy to see me that what they made me felt. It was bad feeling

that unwanted. My goal that I want to do it at next week is to get involve with the MST’s

and share with them why I’m at the school and what I what from them and what I’m gone

do. I think that maybe they weren’t ready for us. So, I took this week as observing the

school and classroom routine, while doing that observe the student’s behavior. That will

help me when I my MCT will observe me that the students know who I am. The strategy

outside the lesson to get to use to me.
