Project-Based Learning Reflection

This student reflected on their role in a group project for their Advanced English Language Arts 1 class where they had to create a product and promotional video using propaganda techniques. The student played the cashier at the "store" selling the product. They learned they have decent time management skills as they finished the project before the due date. The experience helped prepare them for college or careers by teaching them how to talk in front of a camera better and feel more comfortable watching themselves on video.

I was the cashier at the “store” where the product was sold.

What did you learn about yourself in terms of time management, personal responsibility,
problem-solving, collaboration, or other soft skills via this project?
I learned that I have decent time management because I finished before the due date and didn’t
have to finish the day it was due.

If you had an industry expert or mentor who assisted with this project, what are some things that
you learned from this person?
I learned how to manage time.

How has this experience helped prepare you for college or careers beyond high school?
It taught how to talk in front of a camera better and how to not cringe when I watch myself on
video.
